Far below the depths
His voice echoes
Resonating within my mind
Dark tendrils search
Inside my head they hide
Beckoning me forth
To embrace the coming tide

Through the darkness I embrace
Something I cannot
Cannot face
To deny him would be foolish
For the great old ones shall arise
Their horrific beauty you shall witness
You shall see it with your own eyes
It's too late
There's no going back
This thing I have become
It cannot be undone

The thundering commands
Of the rhythmic waves
They call to me
Urging me to join them
In the black and endless deep
They yearn for release
To rule on high once more
Your reprieval you should keep
For they come
And we shall meet them on the shore

Through the darkness I embrace
Something I cannot
Cannot face
To deny him would be foolish
For the great old ones shall arise
Their horrific beauty you shall witness
You shall see it with your own eyes
It's too late
There's no going back
This thing I have become
It cannot be undone

To the world I implore
Give in to their will
You can feel it
Beating deep within your mind
Their cries you cannot ignore
To resist would not be wise
Their whispers
They have opened up the doors
As the flood envelopes the land
This world shall be no more

Through the darkness I embrace
Something I cannot
Cannot face
To deny him would be foolish
For the great old ones shall arise
Their horrific beauty you shall witness
You shall see it with your own eyes
It's too late
There's no going back
This thing I have become
It cannot be undone
Decided to work on another Cthulhu piece while at work today. Got past the chorus and then had loads of work coming in. Finally sat down many many hours later here at home and finished it out while mostly listening to Therion. I'm thinking of perhaps delving a bit more into the Lovecraft Mythos and use some of the other deities for the backdrop of future pieces. At any rate, enjoy.
